THE BLUE HARLEY AT DIXIE DINER

Chapter I: The Neon Glow and the Warning

The vibrant blue and red neon signs of Dixie Diner buzzed softly into the midnight air, casting electric reflections across the wet asphalt parking lot. Parked directly under the diner’s front awning was a pristine, vintage metallic-blue Harley-Davidson cruiser, its polished chrome engine and exhaust pipes gleaming under the streetlamps.

Hovering around the classic machine were two men in casual jackets. The man in the tan canvas jacket had his hands tucked casually in his pockets, leaning his hip arrogantly against the custom handlebars while his partner reached out to unlatch the leather saddlebag.

The diner’s glass door flew open with a sharp rattle.

"Get away from that bike!"

Sprinting out onto the concrete curb was Clara, a young waitress with vibrant auburn hair, dressed in a yellow diner uniform, white apron, and name badge. She stepped directly between the two men and the motorcycle, throwing her hand out flat in a fierce, unyielding stop gesture.

"Don't touch it!" Clara demanded, her voice ringing clear and resolute across the quiet lot.
