Carter pressed his face toward the wet pavement, his shoulders heaving with violent, uncontrolled sobs. The arrogance was completely eradicated, crushed under the absolute, undeniable weight of true power.

“Please,” Carter begged, his voice muffled by the dirty water. “Please. I’m sorry. I didn’t know. I’ll do anything. Take it all. Just let me live. Please.”

Martha looked down at the broken boy.

She did not smile. She took no pleasure in the destruction. She simply looked tired—tired of the arrogance, tired of the cruelty that infected the world she had tried to leave behind.

She slowly reached into her pocket and retrieved a small, secure encrypted phone. She pressed a single button, bringing it to her ear.

“The Falcone bloodline is severed from the board,” Martha spoke into the device, her voice carrying the absolute authority of the Matriarch. “Leave the boy. Let him live as a reminder.”

She lowered the phone.

Instantly, every single red laser dot vanished from the parking lot.

The sudden absence of the crimson lights was almost as shocking as their arrival. The terrified teenagers hiding behind their cars didn’t dare stand up.

Martha looked down at the muddy puddle.

The heavy, diamond-encrusted Rolex was resting at the bottom, partially buried in the silt and gravel. It was a symbol of everything Carter believed made him untouchable.

“Keep the watch, Carter,” Martha said softly, her voice carrying over his pathetic sobbing. “You are going to need it to buy your next meal.”

She turned her back on him.

At the far end of the parking lot, the gates swung open. A sleek, armored black SUV with heavily tinted windows rolled silently onto the asphalt, stopping precisely in front of her. The rear door was immediately opened from the inside by a masked operative in a tailored black suit.

Martha didn’t look back at the ruined Bugatti. She didn’t look at the overturned recycling cart, or the scattered cans that had defined her quiet life for a decade.

She stepped into the back of the SUV, the heavy armored door closing with a solid, echoing thud.

The vehicle smoothly accelerated, gliding out of the parking lot and vanishing into the Beverly Hills traffic, leaving the former heir of the underworld kneeling penniless and weeping in the mud.
