After a moment of silence, Damon looked up at Miller, his eyes glowing with an unwavering flame that had long been extinguished. "I will accept," he replied, his voice deep and strong. "But I want my son to be the first student."

A few days later, Damon officially donned a simple black martial arts uniform, standing on the gray mat. Opposite him was Evan, the thirteen-year-old boy in a crisp white uniform, his eyes no longer holding insecurity and weakness.

"Martial arts are not for hurting others," Damon stated clearly, his gaze sweeping over Evan and a small group of newly joined students. "Martial arts are to train the mind, protect oneself, and shield the weak."

Damon didn't teach flashy spinning kicks meant for show. He started with the most basic lessons on posture, balance, and breathing. He taught them how to stand firm on their own two feet in the face of any storm.

Every student looked at him with absolute respect. There was no arrogance, no cruel imposition. Only sincerity, iron discipline, and the boundless love of a father guiding the younger generation.

Chapter 20 - the power of control

Three years had passed since the day Damon took over the old veteran Miller's dojo. This place had become a solid anchor for dozens of teenagers in the area, helping them find a strong and righteous direction in life.

Evan was now a tall, rugged, and fully confident sixteen-year-old teenager. He was no longer the skinny boy easily bullied like before. Under his father's guidance, Evan had earned his black belt through extraordinary effort.

The boy did not participate in flashy commercial tournaments. Evan used his strength to help friends, protecting the vulnerable students at school from bullies. He had truly grasped the most precious lesson from his father.

On a radiant, sunny weekend afternoon, Evan was patiently teaching a group of young students basic defense techniques. He gently corrected their every move, flashing a kind smile, radiating an incredibly calm aura.

Damon stood in the corner of the room, leaning against the wall, smiling proudly at his son. He no longer had to work exhausting night shifts; his calloused hands had now found the highest, most noble purpose of a father.

Miller walked up beside him, together admiring the warm, vibrant scene. "You did very well, Damon," the old veteran whispered. "You didn't just save your son; you created a better future for all of them."

The darkness of war and senseless violence had receded forever into the past. In this sunlit dojo, power was no longer a tool for cruelty, but had become an eternal shield protecting goodness and love.

Chapter 21 - the seed of disaster

The peace of the small dojo lasted for another two years, bringing Damon and his son a profoundly meaningful life. However, a new underground force began to rise in the suburban area.

A criminal syndicate named Black Dragon, hiding under the guise of a real estate company, was acquiring all the surrounding land. They used violence to force the poor residents to leave.

The old veteran Miller's dojo was located right in the strategic center they desperately coveted. Black Dragon had repeatedly sent threatening letters, forcing Damon to sign the deed and sell the land for a cheap price.

But Damon adamantly refused. He could not let the sanctuary of dozens of lost teenagers be turned into a filthy underground casino for bloodthirsty, greedy, and ruthless men.

The boss of Black Dragon, an incredibly mysterious man nicknamed Poisonous Snake, decided to use extreme measures. He was completely unaware that he was provoking one of the most dangerous combat machines.

One afternoon, while Damon was out handling paperwork, three pitch-black armored vehicles screeched to a halt in front of the dojo. Dozens of heavily tattooed thugs, brandishing weapons, aggressively stepped out.

They brazenly kicked open the oak door, creating a deafening crash that shattered the quiet atmosphere. The children who were eagerly training inside immediately cowered in utter terror.

Amidst that chaotic moment, Evan stepped strongly out of the ranks, standing squarely in front of the young students. The eighteen-year-old boy possessed the true stature of a warrior, incredibly brave and valiant.

The leader of the thugs sneered contemptuously upon seeing a greenhorn kid daring to stand in their way. He swung an iron pipe, intending to deliver a warning blow straight to Evan's head.

But Evan did not flinch. He remembered the lessons about calmness that his father had taught him. The moment the iron pipe swung down, Evan dodged with incredibly astonishing speed.

With a viciously precise arm lock, Evan neatly disarmed the thug, simultaneously delivering a sweeping kick to his shin that sent him collapsing to the floor in agony. The henchmen behind were stunned.

Not giving them time to recover, Evan charged into the encirclement, utilizing highly effective defensive strikes to protect the children behind him. He fought with extraordinary bravery.

However, the sheer number of enemies was too overwhelming. They began to surround and push Evan into a corner. Despite his tenacity, he took a few cowardly sneak attacks that left a trail of fresh blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.

The thugs laughed smugly, preparing to deliver the decisive blow to crush the resilient teenager's will. The young students squeezed their eyes shut, not daring to witness the horrific scene.

At that hair-raising moment, the dojo door was once again thrown wide open. A bone-chilling, freezing murderous intent suddenly flooded in, making the entire atmosphere feel completely frozen.
