You've already seen my identification.""That doesn't tell me anything."Daniel leaned back."Then perhaps you should contact your commanding officer."Rebecca slammed the envelope onto the desk."Enough!"At that moment, Marcus appeared at the doorway."Officer Hayes?""What now?""Captain Reynolds is asking about the situation."Rebecca frowned."Why?""Someone reported that a passenger was being detained without an explanation."Rebecca rolled her eyes."Tell him I'm handling it."Marcus hesitated."Ma'am, he specifically asked for the passenger's name."Rebecca glanced toward Daniel."Mercer. I'm coming immediately."Rebecca stared at the radio.Daniel closed his eyes briefly.
