Chapter 11 – The Farmer's Grip
Trent finally managed to get close enough to control Eli.
For a second, it appeared that youth and strength had won.
Then Eli's hands closed around him.
Trent immediately felt the difference.
These were not the soft hands of an elderly man who had spent his life sitting behind a desk. They were working hands. Hands that had pulled cables, lifted equipment, tightened bolts, repaired machinery, and carried loads across fields.
Eli created leverage and broke the position.
Trent stepped away, breathing hard.
The crowd was almost silent.
Nobody laughed anymore.
The farmer was not surviving by luck.
He knew exactly what he was doing.
